The definition of "rugby" according to dictionary.com is:
"A game played by two teams of 15 players each on a rectangular field 110 yards long with goal lines and goal posts at either end, the object being to run with an oval ball across the opponent's goal line or kick it through the upper portion of the goal posts, with forward passing and time-outs not permitted."
Rugby can also be played by teams of 10 or 7, and in a non-contact version, which is usually called "touch" rugby.

About the club
The Waterloo County Rugby Football Club (RFC) is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Our teams play against other clubs in the Ontario Rugby Union (ORU) and Niagara Rugby Union (NRU) at varying levels of competition.
Interested players of all abilities – from no experience to advanced – are encouraged to join the club. No try-outs are required.
Waterloo County RFC is one of the largest rugby clubs in south-western Ontario and is home to the following teams:
Senior Division
- Men's – ORU Keenan Division I
- Men's – ORU Keenan Division II
- Men's – NRU A Cambridge Pirates
- Men's – NRU B Kitchener Knaves
- Women's – ORU Women's League Division I
- Women's – ORU Women's League Division 2
Junior Division
- Under 19 – NRU Women's
- Under 17 – NRU Women's
- Under 18 – NRU Men's
- Under 16 – NRU Men's
Minor (Mini's) Division
- Under 15 – Girl's
- Under 14 – Boy's
- Under 12 – Co-ed (limited contact)
- Under 10 – Co-ed (flag rugby, no contact)
