County and Pirates Win Leagues with bonus point wins at Oshawa

Waterloo County and Pirates traveled to Oshawa on Saturday knowing that bonus point wins could secure League Titles for both teams with 2 games still remaining in the season.

Pirates set the tone with a 6 try 32-14 win, and with Lindsay 2's beating Ajax 2's this meant that Pirates, now 10-2, win the 2nd XV League.

County then followed also with a 6 try bonus point win, 46-17, putting themselves out of reach at the top of the Marshall Championship with a 12-0 record.

Needless to say a loud coach trip home was enjoyed by all.

Head Coach Graham Stickler commented that "all the players are my heroes. They have worked so hard and have got what they deserve. I'm also impressed by the attitude that this is not finished yet. We still have goals as a group around how we finish the League and then the McCormick Cup. Based on today's performance there is plenty of work to do on the singing as well!"

2-try superhero center Petar 'old fella' Jokic, aptly dressed in camo-boxers and club tie, stated after stumbling off the Coach back in Waterloo "only about 4 of you are my hero, the rest of you are ****s and I hate you"
